This October, Village Voices headed out on their Autumn choir tour to Liverpool!
Setting out to celebrate 20 years of song this wonderful group from Buckinghamshire, led by the phenomenal Jane Smith, wanted to honour this anniversary with a really special, music filled weekend; and it did not disappoint!

Making their first stop in Chester, to perform an afternoon concert in The Wesley Church Centre, Village Voices were joined by local ensemble Cawley House Choir to deliver a brilliant and uplifting performance. The group then arrived in Liverpool for their first evening, heading out for a lovely evening meal before getting ready for their next exciting day of the tour!

After a day of exploring the incredible and renowned sights of Liverpool, their first concert in the city was held in an truly iconic venue – which made it all the more special for us, the choir and the audience! An evening performance in ‘The Well’ at the magnificent Liverpool Cathedral, joined by fantastic local choirs Bebington Bittermen, the Creative Community Choir and Liverpool Community Choir. In such a beautiful setting, the concert was the perfect way to round off the weekend, though the trip was not quite over yet…

Village Voices could not leave Liverpool without visiting the world famous Cavern Club, one of Liverpool’s most iconic and momentous attractions and venues…but they did even better than just visit it!

Concluding the weekend with an informal concert in The Cavern Club on the very same stage that has housed so many musical legends throughout the years was a magical way to celebrate 20 years of Village Voices, and the perfect farewell to end their tour.
